The Pine Barrens Candle
Deep within the heart of New Jersey lies the Pine Barrens, a vast, shadowy expanse of gnarled trees and whispering winds. Here, ghost towns from bygone eras stand abandoned, remnants of once-thriving communities now reclaimed by the encroaching forest. Legends tell of the Jersey Devil, a winged creature born from a cursed 13th child, that haunts these woods, its eerie cries echoing through the moonlit nights—hike amidst the ruins and dense foliage with scents of Red Pine, Moss, and Mineral Water.

Haunted History
Haunted History
The most famous ghostly resident of the Pine Barrens is undoubtedly the Jersey Devil. According to folklore, the creature was born in 1735 to a local woman known as Mother Leeds. Legend has it that, upon discovering she was pregnant with her thirteenth child, she cursed it to be a devil.
The child was born normal but quickly transformed into a monstrous creature with hooves, a goat's head, bat wings, and a forked tail. After wreaking havoc in the Leeds home, the creature flew up the chimney and disappeared into the Pine Barrens, where it has allegedly been spotted by frightened locals and travelers over the centuries.
The Pine Barrens were once bustling with industry, home to sawmills, paper mills, and ironworks in the 18th and 19th centuries. Many small towns sprang up around these businesses, only to be abandoned when resources ran out or businesses moved on. These ghost towns, now slowly being reclaimed by nature, are said to harbor spirits of their former residents.

How to use
How to use
Following Candle Care helps to ensure product quality + longevity. We highly recommend following each of the following steps:
Trim your candle's wick to 1/4" before each lighting or once your candle has cooled.
Never attempt to trim a burning candle.
Discard the snipped portion in the trash; never leave wick trimmings in your candle jar.
The wick should always remain centered and away from the sides of the vessel.
Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar during each burn to prevent tunneling.
Safety first - because candles contain a small flame, we encourage following these rules:
Never leave a candle burning unattended, near a draft, or in reach of children or pets.
Don't burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Stop burning your candle when only 1/4" of wax remains.
Do not pick up a burning candle or immediately after it's been blown out.
Protect the surface underneath the candle no matter the material.
